Hmm... the woman on the phone told me point blank that their alternate list is ranked... so confusing. 😕
As I said, that was a couple years back - things may have (probably have) changed.
If the list is actually ranked it would certainly make it easier for them to decide who to accept off the alternate list. And since it's easier that is probably how it is now being done.
My suggestion to you all is to start on your Plan B (job hunting, filling out the AMCAS application for next year, etc), while trying to keep your hopes up. That way you have a start on the process for next year (early submission of applications) if Wayne doesn't come through for you this year. Another thing to remember is that a large number of people in each class are re-applicants. I think that sometimes Wayne does that just to see if you are serious about med school at Wayne.
