How did the interview go at Western. What did they ask you and what was the format of the interview.
What was your impression of the school.
Thanks,
k
see my KCUMB vs Western thread, i wrote a lot about what i thought about western in there.
As for the interview itself, it was pretty smooth for me, almost everyone in my interview group said they were not asked any ethical or moral dilemma questions. most of the questiosn focused on why medicine, why do, your personal motivation, what will be your biggest challenge in med school, for me i was asked why i applied to a school across the country, we also talked about sports, we talked about westerns commitment to do more research (i brought it up), i talked about the impression the dean gave me in his speech, which was better than i had about the school before the day began. I told them honestly i wasnt seriously considering the school before the interview but now its a top player.
The key for the interview, imo is brutal honesty. .the interviewers hear the same thing from EVERYONE primary care this, blah blah that.. trust me, be brutally honest with yourself and the adcoms, they seea lot of potential students and they know whose not being frank with them. I said some thigns in my interviews that people on this forum would say is not a good idea ( for example, i said primary care interests me but id be lying if i told you id definately go into it, they said we respect your honesty, all of them said that). Ive gotten 2 acceptances going this way and hoping for a third from western
if you have any questions feel free to PM me. if i get into western as well, itll be a tough choice for me between them and kcumb
