hey congrats ppapaya!

may i know when you submitted your secondary app to western? do ya know if the people at western evaluate your app based on how early your app was complete by? like i turned mine in by almost a few days prior to the deadline.

hey dnguyen401 did you get an email also? i got a call the morning before thanksgiving and the person who called me from western said she would send me an email with all the details but never received any..

No, I didn't get an e-mail yet. I believe she said she would e-mail us in about a week or so. See you at the interview! 👍

you're gonna receive an email few days later. Maybe on Monday when the admission come back from holiday.

I submitted my supplemental early August, so I think they evaluate based on how early you submitted. Good Luck
 
i got an interview invitation for december 11!!!!!! phone call.

i am sooooooooo happy and crossing my fingers

hey did any of you guys know that western this year require applicants to write an essay?!?
 
yeah thats what was being told to me this morning, i was shock bc some of my friends that applied couple years ago said they didnt have to write an essay during the interview. So i thought it just began this year...and i'm assuming you got an interview last year? how was the essay?

I don't think they evaluate based on how early you submitted because I submitted my supplemental mid-October [October 15th~ish] and I received an interview invite for December 11th. So no worries to those that applied later!!! Best of luck to everyone!! 👍👍👍👍 :luck:

Does Western leave a message or voicemail about the interview if you aren't available to answer the call? Or do they just call back?

When they called me, I missed it so the lady who called left me a voicemail, but she only said that she was from Western and to call her back, she didn't say anything about an interview. I called her back, but it was really hard to get a whole of her. I probably called like 5 times, and then finally I just left her a voicemail with my name and number and for her to call me back. When she didn't call me the following day I got anxious, so I just tried another 5 times and finally I got a hold of her and she told me that I had an interview.

So I guess if you miss a call and you're really anxious, your best bet is to call back. 👍:luck: good luck!!

the essay had random topics. you get to pick one and write. I didn't like any of the topics so I spent a lot of my time thinking since you're expected to write a full essay (5 paragraphs)

hey guys, i think some people said to look over the sample interview questions that western posts on its website. but, i've looked, but can't seem to find them. does anyone know where they are located on the school's website? thank you

go to prospective student and then click on interviewee page. Or click on the link that they provided in their interview invitation email. Good Luck

I'm confused about how Western chooses candidates for their interviews. If they aren't on rolling admission, why does it seem like they give the first interview date to people who submitted the app earlier? I could be wrong though...did everyone who went to that first interview submit their app before September or October?

I submitted my app 2 weeks before the deadline and Western offered me the first interview.

Hi there, I submitted everything on October 15th ( about two weeks before the deadline). Other students got invited before Thanksgiving or a few weeks before the 12/11, but I Literally got invited 4 DAYS before the Interview day.

So, I'm Not sure how it's decided but, by chance are you from Southern California? I asked because it seemed like a majority of the students were from around the LA/ Orange County area.
 
I didn't get an interview either. I submitted mine on Oct 4, but I got an email from them Nov. 1 saying that one of my classes isn't accepted. So, I returned the form to them telling them that I would take the class in spring. After that, they emailed me Nov. 2 that they are now starting to review the application. I don't know if it's b/c they started reviewing my app. late, but I don't want to waste my time/money on taking classes just for one school if I don't even get an interview. What should I do?

Be Hopeful! 🙂 don't worry about it. They still have 3 more interview days left (Jan, Feb, and March). It's definitely unexpected when they call, believe me.
 
Would anyone have an idea of the % distributions of Grades, WOrk Experiences, Interview, Essay, etc?
 
I submitted mine early august, and they called me a day before thanksgiving, but I met many people from out of state.

Hi, when did PharmCas send out your application to Western? also before October 15th? I submitted my application almost right before the deadline, but it took 5 weeks for Pharmcas to send out my application to the school. Anyhow, hope everything would go well with you!

Thank you, I truly hope so too. I e-submitted pharmcas on 9/22, and it was sent out on 10/4. My Supplemental packet was mailed on 10/15.
I bet you'll hear from them soon! 🙂
