Don't stress so much about it. Just focus on your upcoming interviews :0) Every school has different standards in what kind of applicant they want. In fact, there was someone last year that was placed on hold for UOP, USC, and Western but ultimately, got into UCSF. So good luck! Don't lose hope!! :xf:
 
I wonder if they rejected anyone! If they have put most of the us on hold, then the chances of getting accepted is very low🙁, I am still in shock and cannot think of what to do if I dont get accepted anywhere this year

How are you doing in your other schools? Don't give up hope! It is still early and maybe you'll be pulled off hold and get accepted. Don't dismiss yourself yet 🙂 I am actually seriously considering declining Western's offer, and maybe that will open up a space for people who really want it 👍

To those who didn't, don't loose hope. Half of my class got in from wait list/hold.

I am just hopeful, haven't heard from other schools yet except touro which also put me on waiting list🙁

The next interview date is Jan 28. The invitations should be made soon, because they're usually done 1-3 weeks before the date.

I got an invite over the phone today! We're supposed to get an email confirmation as well... Is it for the 28th or the 29th 😵? I couldve sworn she said 29th! I guess I'll know for sure when I get the confirmation!
 
I think they called some few people a while back like in December and gave them a choice between the December or the January Interview. But then again that's just from my experience and from a couple of my classmates at school. I know like two other people who decided to schedule their date for the 1/29 instead of 12/11 cuz we had finals that week. I, on the other hand, felt like I couldn't miss up the opportunity and decided to select the 1st interview date.

It's strange that we haven't heard anything from the next group of interviewees since it's only two weeks away.

it's the 29th! 😀 They only conduct the interviews on Saturday(s).

I just got a phone call today for January 29th. I'm super excited but nervous too. What kind of questions can we expect?

The essay portion was surprisingly not hard at all. It was totally open-ended, imaginative, and not related to Pharmacy.

I interviewed on 12/11 and heard back on 1/6. If you don't count the days they were on winter break and the holidays in-between, It's about 8 business days.

Hi I'm a new member. I just got a call from western for an interview next week 1/29. My first interview. I'm so excited but also nervous about the essay part. Would anyone who had interview in dec be kind to give more specific detail about the topics?

They had a couple prompts ready during the first interview. My friend and I had different questions. Our call times were the same but we were in different groups.
 
Hello Everyone! :hello:

Ok... so I am new on here and this is the THIRD time I try and post something lol The first time I typed my long story only to click submit and have a screen pop up to inform me that I am not logged in--and of course everything was LOST! Nice... :claps:

Second time.. well, I just hit a random button somehow and left the site only to return and discover once again that EVERYTHING was gone! haha

SO... lets try this for the THIRD time (Third times a charm? lol)

That being said, congrats to EVERYONE who has been accepted or offered interviews! :highfive:

To those of you still waiting, dont give up--EVER! There is still time! :nod:

On Friday 01/14/11 11:00am I had a missed call from Western University.. but my phone, my lovely blackberry (now re-named WhackBerry lol) did not give me any notification of the call OR the voicemail until the next day...

:beat: *substitute poor defenseless horse with evil BlackBerry* lol

So Saturday I get the message notification sometime around 2pm.. haha and I COMPLETELY freak out because when returning the call I am advised by a recording that Western will NOT be open Monday for the Holiday.. AND they will not reopen again until Wednesday 01/19/11

Let me just say this: LONGEST. WEEKEND. EVER. lol

5 days later--NO, 5 LONNNNG days later .. Wednesday 01/19/11 11:16am I get a call from Western!

Of course, I am at work so I politely excuse myself and professionally walk out the office smooth as possible... then as I round the hallway and no one can see I RUN like the wind outside haha

Heart racing, blood rushing, world spinning I re-dial the missed call from Western... The moment of truth has arrived!!!!!

Danielle answers--SWEETEST person EVER! She starts speaking and all I can think of is "this is it... I am being denied" then she offers me an interview for January the 29th!

I nearly burst into a million pieces and had to contain myself so as not to scream and jump around and run in circles like a mad man who just won the lotto 🤣

So of course I accepted. Interview scheduled on 01/29/11 Saturday! woo hoo!

I have been declined by UCSD and have yet to hear from USC or LLU (I only received confirmation that my application has been received and is under current review) :xf:

SO lets see what happens!

Hey guys I received an interview on the 29th as well! And I got the email with all the details on Friday. Make sure to eat breakfast and see you guys next saturday bright and early!

Do any of you guys know how important that question is that they asked on that sheet of paper during the interview? I'm worried because i went blank and messed up.

Don't worry too much on that part. I think it matters MOSTLY on the in-between. As long as you somewhat supported it, you should be alright! 👍
