Hey guys so these are my stats,
my average GPA is 3.5 and science GPA is 3.5 also.
My DAT AA19, PAT18, QR16, RC15, TS20 (my bio was 18, chem 21, ochem 23)

I KNOW my reading score is really bad. This is my 2nd time taking my DAT, all my scores improved EXCEPT for reading, I made a 17 the first time. I know a lot of schools have cut offs for reading and I'm just worried sick. I cant bear to think of having to retake my DAT because of my reading score. 🙁🙁🙁

I applied to 20 schools. I've done 2 years of research (no publications, but did 2 poster presentations), I've shadowed, internships, and I've even taken many courses that dental schools would like to see. Histology, parasitology, genetics, social biology, human anatomy (which I made all A's in)

Please someone give me their opinion, I read a lot of forums and a lot of people with 26AA 21+ on every sections of their DAT it's making me worry like crazy. Do I have a chance this year cycle? I will go ANYWHERE!

I'm a texas resident if it matters.

If you swapped the qr and rc scores, I would be somewhat inclined to say you at least have a chance, but at this point you're best off waiting a year imo. A 15 in any section other than qr will probably result in the application being thrown out at most schools, and rc is definitely not on the lower end of importance.

It looks like you can handle the sciences and pat well, but since you can only retake one more time, I would constantly practice rc and qr until you retake. You won't want to risk either staying that low on your last opportunity.

There are people that matriculate into the TX ds with both those GPA's.

Good job, I see you've improved.👍 Maybe next time will be better.

It's good you've realized your lack thereof.

Some schools average. See doc toothache's Guides.

That is true. The electron filter may or my not have already filtered you out from the get-go. Do your own research to figure which school has such cut-offs.

F.Y.I., the DAT is being revised.
I applied to 20 schools.
