Welcome to the forums.

A 19 PAT isn't that low. Does BYU not send committee letters? I'm assuming you've spoken to admissions representatives visiting BYU.

UNC and Tennessee seem to be weird outliers. You could probably swap in UNLV and Colorado unless you have a reason not to include them. You also could consider Creighton and Marquette, which would get you to 11 schools. You could also include other privates, but I want to get a better sense of your purpose as a dentist.

Thank you for the response! I have family in both North Carolina and Tennessee which is why I want to apply there, my purpose of becoming a Dentist is that I want to pursue a career that I am fascinated by, challenges me, and provides me with a sense of accomplishment which is something I have found in dentistry. I was thinking about applying to UNLV and Colorado as well, but I won't actually apply until this following cycle I mostly was just wanting some input into whether or not my slightly below average DAT scores could be a problem when applying :)

I'd also love your input if you know anything about schools that provide treatment to the Hispanic community as I would like to continue my language learning

I mean... pretty much pick any school in a state with a significant Hispanic population, which is getting to be everywhere. But clearly the Southwest (include the Arizonas and Texas schools), Florida, and the DC to Boston corridor. Puerto Rico, if you have a significant connection or reason to study there.

you need to have mission fit to get interviews and acceptances
"i have family there" is not mission fit...
