Hello predents/dents

I recently took my DAT, and I did bad on it. I ended up with
AA: ...
TS: ...
PAT: ...
GC:...
BIO: ...
OC: ..
QR: ....
RC: ..

My GPA is 3.88 and sGPA is 3.89. I have some 450 hrs of volunteering/shadowing and about 300hrs of research. I want you guys to be honest with me and tell me what to do ? should i apply ? if so what schools ?
also, if i was to contact individual schools and tell them that i am planning on retaking my DAT once the 3 months period is over, would they take that into consideration ? or would it be too late by then ?

I will start by saying your DAT scores are fine. They are well within many schools range. And for what it's worth, your gpa and extra curricular experience more than make up for it. I would start by saying that the only reason you should retake the DAT is if you dream of going to an ivy league school, otherwise I think your scores, gpa, and experiences are great for many schools. If you can get your LOR in quickly, you can send you gpa in soon, and get your application together ASAP I say why not apply. Apply to 12+ schools and I would be willing to bet you'll get a look from a couple schools. Be confident in your scores. I have very similar scores and they have worked out for me so far!

Thank you so much.
I am not looking to go to an ivy league school, i just want to get in, don't care really where.
As for my LOR, they already have been submitted, but i took my DAT july 17th, so the scores are not in yet.
Do you know what schools would be willing to consider me ?

Well it really depends on where you are wanting to live and go to school. I would suggest looking at Tufts, NYU, Midwestern (both IL and AZ), a state school (if you have one), case western, marquette, creighton, boston u, western in cali. Make sure to submit your app ASAP so they can verify your GPA and you app can be sent to schools next week. This will allow schools to receive your app and then all they need to wait for is your DAT scores. Make sure to do your homework on schools. Don't focus on the ones I just listed, use them to see what you like and dislike about dental schools.

R u a us citizen or permanent resident? This is somewhat important

A permanent resident, applying for citizenship this december.
why would that matter ?
You are fine..... The only reason Im asking is because a friend of mine is an international student when he applied last year, and because of that, he was not accepted despite his above average stat.
