I am a dual citizen planning to enroll in the military (not U.S.) during my glide year. I know serving in the U.S. military is usually a plus but was wondering if the same applies for a foreign military or a foreign country-based U.S. military.

Depending on what you did, this leadership opportunity can address service orientation (as it does for anyone in military service). If you were serving in a different country, you can highlight cultural adaptability/humility when appropriate.

It’s focused on providing quality care. The main reason I decided to pivot from nursing to medicine was to better my understanding of pathophysiology and gain more autonomy in patient care. My ultimate goal is to serve as a physician in developing countries as soon as possible
