I am getting LOR's from my colleges pre-med committee, 1 from a MD, 1 from a DO, and 1 from a science faculty member.

I am planning to retake the MCAT in August hoping to get a 28+.

Currently I do not have a list of potential medical schools that I could apply to, any help with a list for MD or DO would be appreciated.

I am planning to apply to several DO schools (with my current MCAT scores) and to some of the lower tier MD schools with hopes that I will improve my score after retaking.

It will be hard to come up with an MD list if you are not facile in Spanish. If you are, a couple of the Puerto Rican Schools will consider your application. You only real chances with that MCAT will be DO schools. You might want to do some research and come back with a list of where you think you might be interviewed. A little trip to the pre DO forum might yield good intel.

Concur 100% with my learned collegue. Your MCAT also kills your chances for places like CCOM, Western and the Touros, but if you apply braodly, you should be OK. Aim especially for the newer DO programs.

Goro, do Western and the Touros both require an MCAT 26+ or were you stating that solely due to their average MCAT's ~28+? Do you know Touro Nevada's avg MCAT specifically?

There was a recent list with the MCAT avg's...I honestly can't remember TUCOM-NV, but Western is a 28 and TUCOM-CA is ~30. I think Western is a doable after all.
