I graduated from Boston College last May.
My science gpa is 2.78, overall 3.2, mcat 27P(9v, 10p, 8b).
What are my chances of getting into a DO school?
I am concerned because I'm waiting to hear from PCOM post-bacc and Drexel-IMS program and I dont know if I should just apply to a DO school now and forget about the post-baccs.
What do you guys think?

Looks like you need to get hat science gpa up if you want to have a good chance, I would not forget about the post-baccs.

I don't know why you assume you can just, "apply DO and forget about the post-baccs". Your GPA is pretty crappy for DO schools too. The averages for cumulative and science GPAs at most DO schools are 3.4 / 3.3

WOW you guys are cold.... I would say give it a shot I am not so concerned about the overall gpa then i am the science. The science gpa is a bit low but your mcat is higher than just about the avg matriculant in every D.O school. Let me ask you guys a question the avg matriculant into med school has approx. a 30 on the mcat if an applicant got a 33 on the exam and has a gpa like blufox will he not get interviews somewhere? you bet he will-and once you get an interview its all fair game. I know someone with blufoxs' gpa and a 2.9 sci with a 29 mcat get interviews and waitlisted places- again he may not get in but its not like he has no shot! you guys are rough!!

just take science classes at one of your state schools, save money on tuition. By pulling up you sci gpa a bit, you should have no problem.

You could just take one to two classes/semester starting this summer and then apply this time next year. If you want to apply this year, go ahead, but as the others have said your sci gpa is pretty low (but can definitely/easily be pulled up). Good luck!
