Hi guys, I am just really worried right now about applying to medical school because I tend to do too much at school and that really took a toll on my GPA. I am currently a rising senior and as of right now, I am still studying for my MCATs which is in a couple weeks in August and I keep having doubts about getting into a school at all. Because my family is financially disadvantaged, if I don't get into anywhere, I cannot afford to pay off my loans. So if anyone could give me an input on what my chances with my following stats?
Double Major: Physics and Humanities
Total GPA: 3.36
BCPM GPA: 3.43
University of the Sciences in Philadelphia
PA Resident
Asian American
Lots of Physics (2.5 years) and Organic Chemistry (1 year) research.
Summer Academic Counselor for incoming freshmen (this summer)
Teacher's Assistant (2 years)
Biology, Physics, Organic Chemistry and Math Tutor (2 years)
Student Government (1.5 years)
Physics Club Vice-President and Member (3 years)
American Medical Student Association Member (3 years)
Premedical Society Treasurer and Member (3 years)
Christian Fellowship (3 years)
VA medical center ED volunteer (2 semesters)
Summer Volunteer Program (1 summer: over 120 hours; watched surgeries and shadowed lots of physicians)
NCAA Division I Rifle Athlete (2 years)
Is my chances at a US medical school too hard? I plan on applying to all the PA schools except for Pittsburgh and UPenn. Thanks in advance guys!
