Hi all!
I recently graduated from the University of Florida with my undergraduate in Health Behavior and my Masters in Management. I am currently working as a full-time Healthcare Consultant and realized about 6 months in that I really wanted to go be a veterinarian. I was pre-vet for 2 years and then switched majors due to finances and other factors. Since realizing my true passion, I have kept my full-time job and started working part-time as a Veterinary Assistant while taking classes part-time to fulfill my remaining pre-requisites.
Some numbers for you:
My undergrad GPA was 3.82 and my masters GPA was 3.53.
I got an average of a 310 on my GRE both times I took it
I will be applying to UGA vet school with about 300 hours.
What do you guys think? I’m concerned my experience hours won’t make the cut but I’m hoping they’ll look at my application holistically.
thanks in advance for the advice!
