What are some ways of dealing with test anxiety? Any kind of test anxiety...

Just some ex.'s of test anxiety
Reading a scary or complex sounding passage and involuntarily thinking OMG I'm going to fail! Then doing poorly on easy questions due to nerves.

Over several weeks getting gradually more anxious, clumsy, miserable, and tempted to procrastinate.

Realizing that Nightmare on Elm Street/Poltergeist/The Scream felt like a relief because it took your mind off of MCAT.

Have you ever tried guided meditation?

Take LOTS of AAMC practice tests in real testing conditions (timing, breaks, etc). That'll help with the anxiety on the real thing, since you'll do something you've done 8 times before.

Turn off your fear. Prepare to the best of your ability, know that you've done your best, go to the test center knowing that there is no more you can do, do exactly as much as you can. If it helps to say it this way, have faith in yourself.

All my anxiety came after the test. 😀 Couldn't help it at that point.

Preparedness. I don't mean this in a rude way, it's just a way I've defeated test anxiety over the years.

1. Structured schedule for doing different activities for becoming proficient for the topics covered in each subject of the MCAT.

Most Important

2. Taking as many AAMC exams under actual MCAT testing conditions.
