Does anyone know the percentages, or where they can be found, of graduates going into speciality programs, starting own practice, GPR or doing an associateship after graduating?

Are you looking for in general, or school specific? It's different for each school. The school can most likely provide this information to you, and many give it to you outright. For example, Tufts gave us a huge book with all of these numbers in it.

I wanted just the overall info, I'm assuming it's not too different between schools. Am I wrong?

See if doc toothache has gathered any info on this via PM...if anyone has he would be the one.

I think a lot of schools are probably similar in their data, but there are outliers that are vastly different on both ends of the spectrum (i.e. harvard/columbia/etc sending very few out to private practice straight after school, and some of the new schools that basically exist to churn out general dentists).

You can usually find this on their website or the school's magazine. For others, it is not published probably because that is not the image that they want to project. It's probably safe to assume that schools that don't publish the numbers are schools focused on producing great general dentists.
It's also an assumed theme that many predental students who intend to specialize flock to Columbia, Harvard, Penn, and UCLA. It is not a causal fact that these schools are what allows such high specialization rates.

Tufts gives out all these statistics (and many more) in a packet during the interview, along with the school magazine and a school research booklet. I can look up the stats for Tufts when I get home from work.

Ask the school specifically. All schools (per ADEA and ADA requirements) take graduation and post-grad surveys of their graduates.

Thanks. That'd be great
