Just finished scrubbing my patio..... final step in the clean the patio project of the summer.... now all I really need is patio furniture, but I won't hold my breath there..... I also had the worm & snail relocation program this afternoon as there were a lot of worms & snails taking up residence on the patio and I did not want them to die in the cleaning.... so I stuck them all in an old pringles can and then took them to a nice woody dirt area for relocation 🙂

I love worms. It makes me happy that you saved them. 🙂

Waiting for my clothes to finish drying.... Darn UK dryers... I am currently at an hour and 20 minutes worth of drying time for a very little amount of clothing.

Yeah I like worms too... and snails... always try to save them..... a lot of vet students don't like snails here cause they carry lungworm

Yeah it usually takes about 160-200 minutes for a half load of clothes to dry in my dryer....

The dryer just ended again... I only had in clothes that I wore to the pig farm so a pair of socks, a thick jacket, a pair of jeans and a t-shirt... It took about 2 hours... Not horrible but it will be interesting to see how long it takes to dry a full load tomorrow.

Watching videos on lab animal use, care, protocols, etc. I understand why it's necessary but they really don't make them very interesting sounding.. 😴

Nothing dries like it does in AZ.

Taking a break from cleaning(well, lets be honest, I take a lot of breaks, this one is just a longER break ). Watching Bones, drinking an Amberbock and eating a DQ Busterbar!! Great Saturday night in my mind! Could be better if there was BF in the mix, but still haven't found that. 🙁

My Saturday night (mind I haven't felt well today) is washing my makeup brushes (YAY! They are clean!) and watching Korean dramas. Its what I do.

Unpacking from 3 months in Ireland and simultaneously packing to go back to school at the end of the week because I'll be spending that week in the apartment/Houston, not actually at HOME.

I am back in the States now though!

I have now bought some pots and pans...

Time to make tacos and pasta... Dinner at my place... BYOB (otherwise we will be sharing a rather small amount of mango rum).

About to go to my favorite bagel place because I didn't eat before I left the house at 5:40 this morning.

Shall be listening to this on my walk.

Just bought a gift basket with fruit, chocolate and cookies for my mom and little sister.

My family is having a birthday party for them today. My little sister is turning 21 😱 tomorrow and my mom's birthday is Wednesday. 🙂

Trying to keep my dogs away from my thoracic limb bones 😱. They keep trying to tear open my backpack to get to them 🙄

I've lived through hurricanes and earthquakes. Big ones make me prefer hurricanes. :scared:

They (decent sized ones) are not bad. The last big earthquake happened here was when I was a year old. I have an earthquake aware family. House is retrofitted, we have earthquake supplies, and a dog to guard them because I can guarantee that people in the neighborhood don't have earthquake supplies.

I was in Japan when they had some of the bigger ones in the 90's. There's just something about the ground swaying rapidly under my feet that I don't appreciate. We never had any issues with destruction or anything

Being in a building that sways SUCKS. At my undergrad school (next to a major fault) there was a building that was basically built on rolls, so it would sway aka not crumble during an earthquake. Strong winds would make it roll and I would be walking in a hallway and sit down because it made me want to vomit.

Earthquake swaying? I am kinda fine with.

I've learned the locations of everything on the thoracic limb and can point them out easily, but origins, insertions, actions and innervations can suck it. That is all.

I can't believe you have to know all that already!

Median dorsal fibrous raphe?? A muscular attachment to the last 2 OR 3 ribs?? So I am memorizing where the origin sort of is in very technical terms.

I'm getting there, too👍

The latter was the only part of musculoskeletal anatomy I actually "got" and enjoyed. lol

Yeah they actually make sense. Like a puzzle. I just haven't put enough time into them yet.

Moping after dropping D off at the airport. Options for the evening include unpacking (speaking of tornados, I think there was a contained one in my second room 😳), doing some homework/review, trolling SDN or trying to find Here Comes Honey Boo Boo on TV.

Muscles in my left arm sure got a good work out while restraining the cattle today. Thinking about going to bed, but the thought of moving to actually head up the stairs and to my bedroom is exhausting.

Eating a deep dish pizza and making a grocery list of healthy foods.

Taking a break from vet school apps and reading a book for pleasure for the first time in several months. Also thinking I should have picked a less depressing book.
