Days like today make me want to quit vet school and go find a job that pays okay with one of my two degrees so that I can just veg without feeling guilty about it. That and tomorrow would totally be a sick day. But with a lab and a full day of classes (7 consecutive hours actually) I really can't miss.

yeah I have too much of a phobia with food... I will not use it past the date and if it says use it within a certain number of days I will either do that or toss it even if it looks like it is still good - I have a fear of bad food.... :scared:

My parents were the ones that would cut the moldy parts off and eat the rest, so I got used to doing that. Moldy bread? Save the slices that aren't moldy. Mold on cheese, cut off that end, eat the rest.

Cheese is the only thing that I might consider doing that with. Because cheese is already fermenty anyways.
 
Trying to explain to my brother that I am in fact NOT a veterinarian and that I can't help treat his friend's dog from 4 hours away who has puncture wounds on her face from a nasty dog fight earlier. :uhno:
 
Ordering this shirt. I blame it on a classmate. I wouldn't have even known about if he hadn't sent me the link. We're splitting the shipping costs, with an agreement that we won't wear them on the same day. :laugh:

Exactly what I said... multiple times. I told them it's not something to mess with and it needs to be checked out by a veterinarian... what I'll be FOUR years from now... not yet bud! 🙄

Cheese, yes. Bread, hell no. If I see one little green spot, I throw the whole loaf. My reasoning: If I can SEE even a little amount, imagine what is there that I can't see yet(BUT IS STILL THERE!) :barf:

OMG, I was completely paranoid like you but I've gotten better about it. For instance, I'll eat bread and cheese past the date as long as there is no mold. I'll eat leftovers within 48 hours (I used to not touch them at all).

Really ... our bodies are capable of handling many more bugs than we think they can! 🙄

I have a stomach of steel with how my parents determined if food was good or bad.. :laugh:

If I end up getting sick from food (has only happened once), it really is not pretty.
 
In between the practical and written portions of my second anatomy test, doing some quick review. So very ready to be done with this "week" where they decided we needed three big tests pretty much in a row.

On the brighter side, my palpation during the test was super easy and so I got to cuddle the pups for a good thirty seconds afterward. 😍

ummmmm...... I am beyond picky with food to begin with..... like crazy picky.....

You're crazy! Every Sunday I cook up a bunch of food to get me through the week! Though, I will usually make something that I can freeze then re-heat 🙂

My stomach growled very loud in my Repro class. Luckily the girl next to me is a friend bc she totally heard it and looked at me funny.

yeah I can't do that..... as it is I rarely cook...... I don't like most foods

I was eating almonds during my repro class while my prof told us that some ovaries look like almonds.. Yum.
 
The cheesecake at Chik-fil-a is okay - pretty good for fast food, actually. Might taste a bit like intolerance... lol! But it's good!

Also, MacAllisters has good cheesecake. And carrot cake.

And if you want a new addiction, Liss/cowgirla/WEN, go to Granny's for bfast or lunch (open til 3pm) and have a cinnamon roll... holy crap they're good.

Yea we were learning about male accessory sex glands lol after working in the clinic I can be Hungary regardless of what's going on or being discussed.

Guilty! We have a counter on a wall in our treatment area that is designated for snacks and drinks, and on busy days we can just eat our lunch there too (everyday). I will stop mid bite to watch an abscess. Even though it's gross, I love squeezing and flushing them out lol.
