What are you doing?

I don't have the time to pick it back up. I mean, I practiced around 3 hours/day. That's just not gonna happen.

Maybe some day!

Maybe once you finish school. Will take some time to get back to peak performance, but I imagine that's something that can be picked back up a fair bit faster than the first time it took to learn it.

I used to be pretty decent on a piano myself; haven't touched it in years though. Like you I wished I hadn't let that slip away, but I suppose we all have to let some things go in order to meet academic goals. Speaking of which, back to my microbiology notes!

That's a retirement plan! Something to look forward to! I used to be pretty good when I was younger. Essentially, stopped playing after I went to college. Right now, I couldn't play anything.

Guitar, piano, and voice here. :woot:
Oh and the recorder... I could play a mean hot cross buns on that little babe 😉

Piano and cello here ... I try to play piano every so often but it's hard to have the time. Makes me sad 🙁

I played the French horn.

It's not really something to sit and play alone, plus the lung capacity you have to keep to play is pretty crazy. And they are expensive...

So I probably won't be playing that again anytime soon.

my clarinet is in my closet. I would need new reeds to play and I am sure my cheeks would hurt.

I don't have my clarinet anymore.... 🙁

I also at one point knew someone who played the bagpipes and I tried to play them too... Definitely not easy... Takes a lot of lung power... 🙂

I kinda miss playing.

Saw a college marching band a couple of weeks ago and definitely had a sentimental moment

Trying to shove immunology in my brain for my final in 45 hours. Ugh. This back to back to back to back finals crap blows.

I cannot focus to save my life. :annoyed:

Debating on if I should go get Mexican food or not.... Hmmm... I could take my notes with me and study while there...

Do it! I am hungry. My breakfast was not a good balanced meal. Really it wasn't a meal. Okay... it was pb m&ms.

the answer to Mexican is always yes if you are in a state that borders Mexico.

Corrected cowgirls assertion.
I have experimentally determined there is an inverse relationship between quality of Mexican food and geographical proximity to it's country of origin. I almost never eat Mexican here.

My favorite mexican restaurant is in NH. Better than anything I've had in OK so far, so I think that proves your rule wrong 😛

I went on vacation with my grandparents when I was 17... we went straight through all the southern most states, stopping in New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida and then we went up the east coast as far north as Washington DC and then into Tennessee and I flew back home from there...

Mexican food definitely decreases in quality and availability the further east you go, but I may be a bit biased... 😉

Although, I really do like the Mexican place that I found here... the chicken enchiladas are great... they could use some hints and tips on rice and refried bean cooking, but the enchilada and pomegranate margarita is worth it.... 🙂

I strongly disagree. San Diego has the beeesssssst Mexican food. I won't eat Mexican anywhere else because I know I will be disappointed 😛

Well, how can you disagree then? My statement was that Mexican food quality decreases as you travel east, so unless there is now a San Diego on the east coast... I am rather certain that San Diego is west of AZ... 😎 😛 :meanie:

I sincerely hope we're classmates next year. I think we're breakfast kindred spirits.

I had pear & cranberry crisp for breakfast. Sure, it's half sugar, but it has fruit AND oats in it. Surely that's okay!

:laugh::laugh::laugh: That would be awesome!

I did have 2 tangerines with my pb m&ms. Peanut Butter has protein. Tangerines are fruit. Chocolate makes you happy.

Just had lunch (it was not a healthy lunch, but did have protein in it).

Peanut butter M&Ms are the best. With tangerines, I think your breakfast was pretty awesome.

I just had lunch, too. It involved mashed potatoes. and cake. 😀 (and chicken, but that was boring.)

I had a burger on ciabatta and fries. Also 3 onion rings, but I couldn't resist those. This place makes delicious everything. But hey! I had a water! That is good!

I want mashed potatoes and cake!

Can't wait for Thanksgiving.

Well, duh, if only I hadn't read the decreases as increases

I laughed at this hardcore....

and yes SoCal has amazing Mexican food, but it helps the restaurant owners are all Mexican and know what they are doing.... also we have a lot of local restaurants and avoid the chains which I think makes the quality of the Mexican food even better......oh how I love Mexican food - my favorite 😍

Are you guys just counting the American Mexican places? Because the little Mexican stores are EVERYWHERE here and they're awesome. 😍

At least you have Mexican food to judge! There is literally NO Mexican food on this island, ugh. I had a dream that Chipotle opened on the island and I was so, so disappointed when I woke up.

Speaking of bad meals, deviled eggs for dinner seemed like a good idea at the time...

😍 Chipotle. But, I do not consider it Mexican food. Nor is Taco Bell or Taco Johns.

Trying to study for my 5th and last final of the past two weeks from HELL! But this is all I got.

Getting ready for a day of shopping, not too excited though.

Ugh I despise shopping. I have to go tomorrow for a few things and I'm pretty sure I'm dreading it more than my final in the morning 🙄

Amazingly, it isn't too bad. Went to VS and was out in 20. Went to sephora and spent less than $50. Now Target

I really miss AZ Mexican food. I just can't stand not having any good Mexican food. You can't even find the stuff to make good Mexican food here. I had to have my mom bring me burritos from AZ when she visited me. It's just ridiculous. Even the carnitarias don't have real tortillas. It made me very sad. And now I'm homesick.
