I really liked the basketball thread, so thought I would try another fun one to keep the mood a little lighter in here!😛

In the past month I have started listening to:

Cold War Kids (just waiting for the Cali crew to chime in here)
Cage the Elephant
Noah and the Whale

These are just some of the new bands I have recently picked up.

How about you?

Sufjan Stevens - Illinois, Age of Adz
Radiohead - KidA, In Rainbows

If you like pop-y sort of punk you should check out The Ready Set. Jordan went to my HS and he records all parts of his album himself (drums, guitar, vocals, etc) but when he tours he has a band with him. It's pretty good and his song "Love Like Woe" is pretty popular.

When I'm studying I put on "Sigur Ros" on Pandora. It's mostly songs I don't know so I don't start humming along plus most don't have words to distract me. My friend who is a D1 at IUSD said she listens to it a lot as well and learned in some psychology class that music w/o lyrics is best to listen to when studying.

For those who like rap/r&b I recently heard the song "Do the John Wall" by Troop 41 which has gotten stuck in my head... it's pretty catchy and could give you some sweet moves to bust out in Dental School.

The Twilight Singers and Eagles of Death Metal

Are you for real? I cannot tell you how much you rock for listening to the Eagles of Death Metal. Josh Homme kicks @ss, right!? Check out Queens of the Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures, and...the band he first made it big in...Kyuss.

Currently I'm listening to (my favorite bands):

Radiohead...
Queens of the Stone Age
Tool
Soundgarden
Deftones
Muse
Sonic Youth
Placebo
Gojira
Lamb of God

Jesse Hughes totally rocks! I heard he is coming out with a solo record under the name Boots Electric. I'll definitely have to check out Kyuss...I haven't heard anything by them yet. Thanks!

lydia
thrice
copeland

and obviously, friday by rebecca black, as suggested by ultimatehombre

Been hard to find some new, original stuff lately. Recently, I have been listening to:
- Imagine Dragons (esp Pantomime and Cover Up)
- Bob Marley
- Citizen Cope (Sideways)
- Brandon Flowers

I'd recommend looking up Imagine Dragons music

Dude we literally have the exact same taste in music. I haven't met many people that enjoy Gojira, but the way of all flesh melts my face every time.
