What can you do with an MPH?

I know this is a silly question, but can someone please tell me what types of jobs and their associated salary ranges that a person can do with an MPH in health policy and management? It seems like a very broad degree and most people I've met with an MPH usually had a MD degree too and were practicing physicians or professors (and don't seem to use their MPH degree). Is it similiar to getting an MBA, but just concentrating in health care?
