So I recently decided optometry was the right field for me. I had been pursuing pharmacy first then medical school. I have a 3.9 gpa and I am going to start studying for the OAT soon. I have been working as a pharmacy technician for the past 3 years. I know I have to shadow optometrist but other than that what do I need to do to improve my chances of getting into optometry school?

3.9 GPA is basically your way into any optometry school. Just make sure to do decent on the OAT (300+) and shadow at least 3 optometrists in different settings. The hours don't really matter that much but I would say spend at least 10 hours with each.
