sorry for the delay but last week (Wednesday to be exact) I got my acceptance to USC...


I am ecstatic because it is my number one choice---

It has been a good day, especially within 6 days of my bday.
I got a call around 5:30pm after working and working out in the gym. Wow, it is from UCSF!!
First, it sounds like they have reviewed my application and would say that they will continue to review, but
the magic words pop out. I am accepted =)
So happy now. Just want to enjoy this moment for awhile.

it really is good to see more people getting the good news. i finally know what it tastes and feels like. i hope that more good news come for those who are still not accepted.


thank you guys all for everything. i am still expecting to hear from meharry and ucsf, but have already made my mind.
i am sending the deposit for IUSD TOMORROW.
 
interview packet from Tufts , maybe ill go on vacation and use the interview as an excuse.

Waitlist at UConn, I guess there goes my chance. That's what happens when you apply late..

I also think that the class was full even before I was interviewed as perfect pointed out. Because I know that I wouldn't be waitlisted had this been earlier.

I received a rejection from Iowa in early October.
"We are sorry. Due to many qualified......You are not considered for acceptance and interview........."

I received another letter from them today.
"We offically cancelled your application for 2004......."

What the ..........Is it their way to reject the applicant two times? I wish I had never applied there.

I haven't called to make an appointment yet! but most likely next friday 2/27
 
I would call as soon as possiible Highlanders, I also got an invite today and I called to schedule next friday but it was full. I got next monday the 23rd though cuz there was a last minute opening but I think alot of people got invites today so they will be filling up the times quick.
 
I also got an interview invite to USC today. Don't know if I'll go though... Tuition is even higher than Tufts.
 
But it is closer to home.
And if you want to stay in CA, it wont be bad.
Though, please enjoy PBL too.
 
Alright, so I finally got the Columbia interview Ive been complaining on this forum about....that was a suprise cause I thought Columbia was kinda out of my league!!! Oh well, I guess the tables might turn now in my decision.

So my friends....we are now at the part they call the "plot twist"

Will Gupta continue on his path towards Philadelphia, or will he be seduced by Stargirl and the temptress that is Columbia??? Or perhaps U-turn it towards Buffalo or Pittsburgh (if they invite me)........stay tuned (suspense music)

P.S. Im sad....

P.P.S. Hey Stargirl.....mind showing me around Columbia??? :love:

Acceptance from Univ. of Michigan yesterday, accepted to Tufts last week.

Now the big decisions start...

Thanks! I was waitlisted on 12/19/03...and they accepted me on
2/19/04. exactly 2 months!
 
Thanks for the reply, skim23...maybe I'll see you in NYC if the waitlist treats me as well as it did you! :) (fingers crossed)

my stats are not impressive at all!
Undergrad Ed: University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
Major: Psychology
Cumulative Undergrad. GPA: 3.15
Science Undergrad. GPA: 3.0
(low, but showed big improvements over time...)

1st DAT: Academic, Science, PAT: 18/18/18
2nd DAT: Academic, Science, PAT 19/19/19

Lots of shadowing, volunteering, student government work
and I have 3 dentists in my family...don't know if it helped though!
 
skim, you make it sound like your stats are terrible.
i think a 3.15 gpa is not bad at all particularly when accompanied by 19's.

Hey perfect, when it rains it pours ey? A couple of weeks ago you were so terrified that you wouldn't get 1 acceptance, now you have two. This goes to show you ladies and gentlemen, that worrying gets you nowhere. Just be patient :)

Goes to show the others who are still waiting....especially those on the NYU/BU waiting lists.....the good news will come soon..be patient!!
