1. Tension pneumothorax
2. RML pneumonia via the lateral shot
3. Ruptured AAA
4. Tension pneumo on left, hemothorax/total pneumonectomy on right
5. Aortic rupture and left pneumothroax and multiple fractures
6. Emphysema?
7. Interstitial pulmonary fibrosis
8. Saddle embolus
9. Same as #4 but without tension
10. I don't know...RUL atelectasis and LLL atelectasis? Foreign body aspiration? Cystic fibrosis? Not sure...

Nerd!

3 AAA but I wouldn't say it's ruptured.
5 I don't see the aortic rupture.
8 Right pa embolus

Revision:

According to someone who'd know more than me, #5 might be a left diaphragmatic rupture.

Where did all those med student rock stars go?

  1. Ptx
  2. R. middle lobe PNA:
  3. Leaking AAA
  4. Tension pneumo with coexisting hemothorax
  5. Multiple rib fx's. with persistent r. ptx. I can see where you would think diaphragmatic rupture as it looks as if there may be bowel in that x-ray.
  6. COPD
  7. Pulmonary fibrosis
  8. Saddle embolus
  9. Hemorhorax (no tension on the other side, trachea midline)
  10. Bilateral upper lobe atelectasis

L. diaphragmatic rupture with bowel in the left hemithorax.
