this is my 2nd time taking it so i already used up my practice AAMC tests. i've been using TBR's CBTs and have been scoring an average of 35. from those who have taken TBR-CBT's, do you feel their passages/questions are in relative difficulty of the actual MCAT? when i took it the 1st time, i just remember it was incredibly difficult and i have yet to see passages in any book/CBT as difficult. also, how did your TBR-CBT scores compare to the real deal? Thanks

to kehlsh, i'm not trolling lol but thank you..

i already did all the AAMCs my first time around. yesterday i had the feeling to redo a BS section which i got an 11 in the first time around (i did it in january). i got a 14 the 2nd time, missing two: one i got right the first time around 🙂shrug🙂 and another i got wrong twice. obv the 14 isn't reflective of my true ability. i'm wondering if the TBR-CBT scores are on-par with real scores.

i'm only worried about all this because i felt prepared the first time around but then did 3 points under my average. i was doing well on the sciences in AAMC tests but then got blindsided on the real thing.

thanks for your responses, though.

People generally do A LOT better on the real deal than TBR. You're ready.... kick its a**

Gunj122, no offense, but what happened on your first exam?

I only ask as those scores are insanely impressive. A buddy of mine who has consistently scored 39+ on the aamc practice exams (43 highest and I'm not kidding) scored considerably lower on the bkr practice exams.

So you should be good to go next time around.

Never do the same test twice.

If it has been about a year-ish, then it should be fine...

I took aamc 3 as my first exam about 4 months before I took my exam as a gauge of where I was. I retook it about 2 weeks before my exam and my score was in line with the others. I didn't remember a thing.

Obviously if you recognize passages and such, then it's different. If you gave me an orgo exam from undergrad, I probably wouldn't remember much of what was on that either.

the first time i took it i planned really poorly and ended up with a month to study. i did decently but i was really under-prepared for content and had to make do with my critical thinking skills. that's why im retaking, cause i know i could do a lot better if i had the necessary content knowledge.

anyway, i just did AAMC 6R, an exam i didn't take the 1st time around, and scored a 36 (12/10/14). I avg'd 33 on my AAMCs the first time around. my test is on thursday. i'm feelin good about it so far. hopefully i can replicate my test scores on the actual thing.

sup bro, its your boy from nyu lol - i think you know who it is met you at the halloween party. i noticed you right away with the sn. anyway, i think you got this bro. and nice job doing that 6R, i've got those stashed too for extra practice after doing the cbt ones. you should be good hommie. best of luck you've worked hard and it'll pay off.

My TBR CBT avg was a 35, 1 point lower than what I got on the real deal, vs 2 points higher for AAMC avg.
