Wow. I am kinda new around here but this seems to be the only thread with people posting pictures on sdn. Maybe other forums are more shallow but they seem to make threads for picture posting almost daily. It is cool how everyone here spends so much time communicating without needing to know physical appearances.
It's nice to know people offer advice and are helpful without wondering if it is just a way to flirt.
I spent about 7 years on another forum and it was a little sad how some really nice people were ignored just because everyone else was so focused on the attractive people. Plus, all of the females seemed to hate each other. On my other forum, if you were an attractive female, the women were mean to you and the men only flirted.
It's good to find a place where looks don't matter.
But it is cool to have a picture thread every now and then. It's nice to put a face to the personalities. Great place and great thread.🙂

Actually, admission to an osteopathic medical school is based heavily on looks.

Most common thing people tell me is, "You were so cute! What happened?!"

(The second pic was actually taken so I could see how much mica dust I had in my hair after digging out six drums of chemicals. Who the heck needs to ship sodium chloride buried in mica? Acid and organic solvents I can understand, but sugar and salt?!)

Well, it was a fitness forum. I could understand if they were being hard on the unfit people, since it was a fitness forum but there were several fit ladies getting a hard time because of facial features and such. I felt really bad for them. This place seems great.

TT - is that your Elmo balloon in the first picture?
That might cause some drag during the bike portion - but you will look the coolest.
 
That is, in fact, an elmo balloon. It wasn't mine, but the guy who racked his bike next to mine brought it, and it was a life saver in transitions. It would have taken me forever to find my gear if Elmo hadn't been hovering above it.
