While reading the application procedures, I often find the descriptions that the document should be "Sealed".

What exactly does this mean? 😕

I'm from a country that does not officially use English, and I'm confused with this ambiguous word.

I know that, (and acccording to the dictionary), we call a " Seal " the special kind of stamp that verifies that it is a document approved by the school administrations.

But we also call something is sealed when it is sent enclosed in a separate envelope .

Which one is the meaning that they intend when telling the student to send documents sealed ??

could anyone help me ?

I'm sorry for this embarrassing question, and
Thanks in advance.

Wow, thanks...
I got it now..
It's really a simple thing but sometimes simple things really makes me in trouble... 🙂

Hey,
SEALED only means enclosed in an envelope. When they say SIGNED and SEALED then it means signature with the stamp and the whole thing enclosed in an envelope. In US it is not necessary to have that stamp on the envelope.Hope it helps!!
