Hi, I am a student who has been studying for DAT(dental admission test).
While I was in DAT forum, I heard that PCAT is much much easier than other tests including DAT, and MCAT.

I have no idea what PCAT is except it's required to go to pharmacy school.

Could someone tell me what sections are in PCAT, how hard it is, what's it out of, average score, what classes i need to take and so forth?

thanks.

The PCAT and DAT are similar in terms of difficulty. The only slight difference is on the PCAT there is no PAT.

The PCAT used to be much easier but it is more comparable to DAT, after more people applied to pharmacy school. The grades are in percentiles and over 80 is the cutoff to be competitive, with 90 being good enough for more competitive schools. There is quantitative, a chemistry section with 35% organic, 65 % inorganic, (organic is mostly nomenclature and reactions from Organic I), biology (microbiology, anatomy, and general), quantitative (this section has some basic calculus unlike the DAT but it is easy, just hard to finish), and a reading section. Then there is a scored essay not weighted too heavily from 0-5.

The MCAT is in a league of its own, not to be compared to either.

Why do you want to switch to pharmacy? If you are prepared from your classes and you studied several test prep books (Kaplan is best for PCAT) you should do fine on either.
