Some of you might be familiar with Sean Amos, MD. He had a Youtube channel with the username TopPreMed. He went to Cal-Berkeley for undergrad and Harvard for med school. He would post advice to people on Youtube in a similar format to the Hodgetwins, in which users would send him a question and he would answer in video form. His channel was deleted and his Facebook was deactivated.

Does anyone know why he stopped? I enjoyed his videos.

I was wondering the same thing, I really liked his videos 🙁

Maybe he deactivated his accounts prior to interviewing/matching? A lot of people deactivate social media accounts prior to applying to... well, basically anything. Maybe he had a few too many kegstand photos on Facebook and didn't want to deal with selectively deleting them.

No, he was an attending in IM while making the videos. I was friends with him on Facebook, and it was very professional from what I could tell. I'm thinking he got tired of it. Anytime I viewed his profile it was spammed with pre-med students asking dozens of questions or requesting videos.

Oh interesting. Never heard of him, but now I'm curious as to why he's gone MIA. The getting sick of pre-med thing is a pretty plausible explanation.

Link is dated March 1, 2013. So...

Imagine a thousand people asking you about grades, GPA, schedules, shadowing, LOA, majors, community college, etc. I can't blame him, I just would've liked him to keep his channel up.
