What exactly is on hold for interview for UC irvine

2/24, recently found out on website i'm on hold for uc irvine interview.
Ouch that hurts. Does it mean nearly rejection or what?

Me too! My stats aren't nearly as good as yours but I'm guessing that they are waiting for people to withdraw accpetances/waitlist spots/interviews before giving out any more interviews.

I'm on (perma)hold there as well. I think it's basically a delayed rejection.

don't lose hope. i was complete at UCI since i believe september and they granted me an interview in late february. i know they conduct interviews until april. good luck!

Does anyone know if they'll tell you any information over the phone about your status on the "list"? I've been on hold for an interview for at least 4 months, and would really like to know if I should keep hoping.
