Don't compare yourself to others - it's a waste of time and sanity. A bad grade (or even two or three...) will not break your application. Not to mention that grading differs pretty dramatically from college to college, and adcoms know that. Just do the best you can while still maintaining a healthy relationship with alcohol 🙂

I've only taken Chemistry, but here it is. I took intro to chem in high school and didn't really care enough to put in much effort.

Intro to Chem: F (replaced with a B+)
Chem I: A-
Chem II: B (Got strep throat and scarlet fever! Missed ~3 weeks near the end of the quarter, including one test she wouldn't let me retake, so I'm actually proud of the B! Ha.)
Chem III: In Progress. Currently 100% (3 quizzes, two labs, 4 homework assignments)

Calc I: D+ (Very personal reason for bad grade. Retaking next quarter.)

all As... for the most part, I thought the prereqs were a joke. OChem II was the only one that was moderately difficult. I had a big gap between OChem I & II, though, which meant synthesis problems were a royal pain....

I got an A in every other gen ed or humanities course I took except 1 upper level German course. Not stellar but sometimes it is other things on your application that matter just as much as grades.
