OK, so LMU-DCOM has two "short essays" for their supplementary application. I am revising my PS now and it has been really hard for me. I tried not to include some things because I wanted to save them, but all the feedback I have been getting is to talk more about myself, my experiences, and what inspired me to become a physician. So what I am asking is, how long should these essays be? One is what qualities do you have that would make you a good osteopathic doctor and the other is who inspired you to enter osteopathic medicine. I have good answers to both, but they are kind of one in the same. It is hard to talk about the qualities that would make me a good DO without including influences and what I have observed from DOs (who then inspired me to apply DO). If there is a limit on wording then I suppose it would be easier to separate. Anybody know about how long they should be?
