Hey just curious. What is everyone's backup plan if dental school doesn't work out? Not to be negative at all. 😳

Agree with Doc Taco. Whether or not you get into dental school is completely out of your hands, and making guarantees like that doesn't reflect very favorably on you as an applicant.todds said:having a back up plan leaves room for failure....so im goin to work very hard and get in no matter what...but thats just me 😳
I don't feel todds is implying that there is no back up plan. I perceived the comment as, "If I don't get in this year, I will continue in to pursue courses that will make me a stronger applicant and reapply again next year." Admission committees do ask this question and they do want to hear that you are committed to your pursuit of becoming a dental professional, not that you will simply seek employment in another field.todds said:having a back up plan leaves room for failure....so im goin to work very hard and get in no matter what...but thats just me 😳

That's right! Because chemistry is the devil!msf41 said:Not a dentist???? Hmmmm...I guess I'd just go to medical school. Just kidding. You gotta be some kinda abnormal to want a life of that.
For real I think I would look into getting a PhD in chemistry. Schools pay YOU to go to grad school in chemistry.
