They're not gonna like my 3.5 though, engineering is a such a gpa killer.
HST is similar to MD/PhD i think. Takes 7-9 years. Main objective: Train physicians as scientists. Physicians do research alongside looking patients.
?? If we're talking about the medical school program, it's a four year program that leads to an MD degree. No special certificate as far as I know. But HST has a focus on biomedical research and I believe students take some classes at MIT.
my PI graduated from that program. It's not PhD awarded but def a research oriented/academia oriented program. And yes he too is one of the smartest people I know....and he's good at hiding it >__<
It ain't an MD/PhD program, but around half of their students go on to get a PhD while they're there.
