Hi all,

What is generally considered big enough to warrant an update letter?

In my case, I recently was awarded a research grant (from my undergrad institution), and had an abstract approved for a poster presentation at the Experimental Bio conference in April. Would that be enough or would it come off as weak?

Also what is the usual template for such things?

Thanks!!

Any significant update to your application should be sent as soon as possible because they may reject you before learning about the additional activities you've done, which can make or break your acceptance.

There's really no template. Just make it no more than a paragraph..brief and concise because the admissions office is very busy looking over thousands of applications and reading thousands of emails. Good look my friend.
