Does anyone know how the interview is at ASDOH?? They kept it a secret on student doctor. I heard they ask crazy questions like Name 3 cities bordering Africa WHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAATTT!!😱

HELP!

First they take you into a dark room, lit by candles along the walls, then the hooded monks come in chanting in latin. You must then pass through the tests of purity, courage, and strength. These as you can imagine are painful, borderline torture, and quite humiliating. Finally, you are sworn to an oath of secrecy, such that if you violate it, the monk/ninjas come after you. Good Luck! :luck:

apaul, you are screwed. I can't beleive you told the OP. The monk/ninjas are surely going to hunt you down. I for one will keep my oath of secrecy.

All kidding aside the interview is nothing the average predent can't handle. Good luck don't worry it will all be over before you know it.

Hysterical. This link is absolutely hysterical.

But seriously, I've heard from reliable sources that the interview involves a tour of the school, a writing exercise, and an interview session with yourself and as many as four other people. They will ask questions, you will answer the questions to the best of your ability. You will need to dress professionally. Questions are based on whether or not you have been awake and alive up until this point in your life or if you are actually some form of alien here to invade our planet/steal our jobs/ take over the dental profession.

I really really want to go meet the monks🙁 Hoping for that interview...

That's how I remember it. Although it sounds like a stressful ordeal, it wasn't. Nice folks who want to get to know the applicants. Probably the most structured interview I had out of the seven I attended. Nice school. I'd love to see their clinic.

I forgot to mention the cookies. Lots of cookies. They give you lots of cookies. Yum!! Plan on having some. This is the best way to get ready for the ASDOH interview. Plan on eating the cookies.

Is there a writting session? 😱
would you mind explaining more about this?

I have interviewed there and there was no writing exercise. Apparently there use to be one, but there hasn't been one for a couple of years now.

Pen, paper, answer the questions. Not an exercise in seeing your handwriting, just an exercise in seeing if that thing on top of your neck actually works as well as you claim.

What are you talking about? For me and all those who interviewed the same day, we did not have to do that.

Did you do the group assignment? If so, did you use a pen, paper, and your frontal lobe?

Two years ago, I had to compelete a one page essay on an ethical topic. We lost points for spelling and improper use of grammar. Not sure if we lost points for a stupid essay.

No writing exercise, but you will have a manual dexterity test, and a group activity to add to your list above. Good luck.

The group activity in the past has been a 'survival' game. NOTE: several survivor games exist so don't count on memorizing the one in the link.

My friend had one like this:

Basically your plane crashes and you find 15-20 items and have to rank them in order of importance.
ex: #1. matches
#2. axe
#3 map, etc, etc.

Here is one Example.

Yours may be different.

Yes, they most certainly will ask you to name three cities bordering Africa. They will also ask you for the population of those cities, as well as the municipalties and countries that those cities are part of.

No wonder that question seems difficult to you. Do you realize that Africa is a CONTINENT?!?

I've heard the school is up in the mountains, next to some natural hotsprings and a spa (which is included in tuition!). It's only cold in the winter months when you need to snowmobile to class.
