What is the minimum GPA to maintain to get into Dental school, according to the average person? And how many C's if any have you guys had throughout your undergrad years?

That's a tough question to answer. I'm sure there are a couple of people every year that might get in to Dental School with as low as a 2.5 GPA, but they likely have some serious connections. The average GPA of students accepted is slightly above a 3.5, so I would shoot for that or better. Plenty of students get in with GPA's in the low 3.XX range, but obviously the higher the better. Also, dental schools consider your undergrad university in assessing your GPA, so a 3.3 at Harvard will probably look better than a 3.6 at noname university. If you end up with a low GPA, make sure application is filled with plenty of extracurriculars and score well on the DAT.
As far as C's go, its fine to have a couple on your transcript, but if your C's are concentrated in your science classes that won't look so good.
Anyway there isn't a real clear answer to your questions, but hopefully this gives you something to go on.
No offense but I dont see why C's are even part of a freshman year... those are some of the easiest classes you'll have.🙄
0 C's so far, and 0-everything below a C.
