Lol, no I just finished my freshmen year, I have a 3.2, and first semester I got 2 Cs. And they weren't in any of my Pre-req classes.

There really isn't a minimum. Seeing how the mean GPA is around 3.5 for enrollee's, I would say at least a 3.0 make through those cut offs.

That's a tough question to answer. I'm sure there are a couple of people every year that might get in to Dental School with as low as a 2.5 GPA, but they likely have some serious connections. The average GPA of students accepted is slightly above a 3.5, so I would shoot for that or better. Plenty of students get in with GPA's in the low 3.XX range, but obviously the higher the better. Also, dental schools consider your undergrad university in assessing your GPA, so a 3.3 at Harvard will probably look better than a 3.6 at noname university. If you end up with a low GPA, make sure application is filled with plenty of extracurriculars and score well on the DAT.

As far as C's go, its fine to have a couple on your transcript, but if your C's are concentrated in your science classes that won't look so good.

Anyway there isn't a real clear answer to your questions, but hopefully this gives you something to go on.

I got 3 Cs 😛 and I just finished third year

0 C's so far, and 0-everything below a C.

No offense but I dont see why C's are even part of a freshman year... those are some of the easiest classes you'll have.🙄

Not necessarily true.. first year was my lowest year. Once I got into subjects I was more interested in (farewell to Calculus and Physics!) my marks improved.

No offense, but most people do better later years b/c they know how to study better. First year was my worst year too.

English teacher was crap

literally

who gives a first year student's english final a 50%
...
apparently she does.
and she gave zeros to some people.. so quite content passing...

Of course do your best in all of your courses. C's aren't great but they won't kill you. I have my share of c's and I am doing finr in my 2nd year of dental school. No C's in D school though.

My school is St. A's but we have the reputation of being St. C's. Figure that one out. Two of my C's were in honors courses. Needless to say I dropped honors after freshman year.
