According to my advisor, the first acceptance letters go out around Jan 10 for applicants interviewed by mid-Dec. If rejected, notified in January or March. Wait list is unranked, with high probability of being accepted. Not sure if that'll help out, but there you go. They interview about 900 people, for 155 spots.

in order of interviewed/accepted matriculated:

Total: 912 437 155
In-state: 166 87 38
Out-of-state: 746 350 117
Women: 509 253 86
Minorities: 105 67 16
International: 66 36 10

This has nothing to do with BU, but do you happen to have the US News numbers for Colorado? If so, would you mind posting or PMing me the in-state breakdown? Thanks!

so about 48% accepted from interview. sweet. that's totally helpful. thanks guys.

At the interview the dean told us that they have around 10,000 apply, the interview close to 1,000 and they usually accept 300 before they fill their 155 seats. I interviewed december 7th (the end of the first round) and got a phone call from my interviewer on Jan 13th, then i got the acceptance in the mail jan 15th or so. I don't know when the second round will hear, but they said that they wait until the end to take most people so that they give late interviewers a chance. I think i am going to decline my spot.. so there is one more for you.. good luck!

If you interviewed in January or February, the dean said decisions will go out at the end of March. The numbers quoted above are pretty much what he said: ~1000 interviews, 1/3 accepted, and a short (according to him) wait list. Good luck! The waiting is a little frustrating, but I'm trying to just turn off my brain until late March. 😳
