Everyone has shadowing experience and a 20 DAT is good, but not spectacular. I'd say you have a very low chance.
Would i be able to get into anyyyy dental school?? does it make it harder that im canadian, and went to uni in canada??
you are considered an international student
why don't you apply to Canadian dental schools?
also like lot of people say, you might want to get into post-bac program to boost up your gpa for many reasons. you have a low gpa, not a impressive DAT, so if you get a high gpa in post-bac program it will show the dental schools that you are smart enough, you are improving, and your gpa will be slightly more competitive.
as an international student, you need to be more outstanding than US students to get into dental schools.
I think you either go to post-bac or apply to Canadian dental schools. It will not hurt if you still apply with those scores if you have money to do so.
So not ANY dental school? i have pretty good ECs tho will that help? And very good reference letter from a dentist, but not good reference letter from professors tho 🙁, so i have no chance, i should take more courses or masters i guess?

I hate to say it, but I don't think you have a good chance with your GPA regardless of if you are international or not. Post-bacc is highly recommended even if your DAT scores are good.Would i be able to get into anyyyy dental school?? does it make it harder that im canadian, and went to uni in canada??
Hi, just wondering what the community thinks about my chances for admission. Also, did I apply early, late, kinda early, kinda late or in between? what batch am I? Will I get interviews? will I get accepted? basically, how does it look?
Here are my stats:
3rd year completed of bachelors in Science, Behavioural Science Major
96 credits so far, 24 to go
Canadian DAT:
MDT - 18
RC - 18
Bio - 21
chem - 20
PAT - 22
TS - 20
AA - 20
GPA - 3.46
BCP - 3.51
Sci - 3.38
nsci - 3.54
Schools Applied to:
1. BU
2. LLU
3. Buffalo
4. NSU
5. NYU
6. PENN
7. Pittsburgh
8. Maryland
9. Detroit Mercy
10.Minnesota
Evaluators:
1. Biology Professor (Good!)
2. Chemistry Professor (Excellent)
3. Biochemistry Professor (nothing special, but it exists 😛)
4. General Dentist (Good!)
5. Spiritual leader (for LLU, Excellent)
P.S. I am basing the quality of my evaluations on the relationship that I have with their authors and my confidence in them. It is possible though, that they are all poor letters or that they are all excellent letters.
109 hours of dental observation (2 locations, mostly with 1)
various leadership, volunteer, travel, and sports experiences as well as a service trip
very small amount of research experience
e-submitted: June 8
Application verified: July 13
Evaluations Status date: Aug 3
Completed supplemental applications: Aug 1-7

Your gpa is below average compared to Canadian matriculants. You have a slim chance at American schools because you're uncompetitive relative to your Canadian peers. Ditto for Canadian schools.
why do you spam the forum with the same question? what kind of answer are you expecting from other people at sdn?
