Yet another month come and gone. Here is our September poll.

What region of the country are you from? I'm using ten regions instead of the usual four, because it's a little more descriptive, but this way I don't have to type all 50 states plus "other." :d

I'm from the South Atlantic (FL).

Shouldn't there have been a poll here? 😛

I'm originally from Florida, now live in Georgia.

Hey, ya had 10 minutes!

I was born and raised in Hollywood. 😉

But you ended up typing all of the states anyway....

born on the central coast of California, now in KC

Yes, but it's a lot faster typing several of them together in one choice as opposed to making a separate entry for each one. Besides the fact that I'm not even sure if I'd be able to make a poll with 55 choices. :meanie:

Originally from CA and went there for undergrad.

Moved to WI for graduate school.

Now I'm in IL. 😛

Originally from Cuba, but raised in Florida.

Born and raised in the Middle East. Spend nearly a decade in New England and now live in California. Not really sure which choice to pick so I'm abstaining.

I relate most to being from Boston since that's where I spent a good deal of my time between 16 - 24.

Please an option to distinguish us NorCal folks from the SoCal folks.

Fairbanks, Alaska. Spent a year during high school in Sydney, Australia.

Then PA, TX, MT, CO, OR. Still looking for my place to settle down.

born and raised in Pakistan, came to NY 3 yrs back

From England, but mostly lived in Colorado since being in the US. Then, I moved to Seattle, WA for work and now a very small town in Wisconsin for school.

Well, lemme see. I'm complicated.

Born indiana. 15 years in Pennsylvania. 1 year Ohio. 3 years Massachusetts, 20 years Colorado. then 4 years Maine, and now Michigan.

I say Colorado wins just based on time alone.

Do you miss Colorado at all? I went back a few weeks ago to see family and friends.... I'd say I miss parts of it.

Originally from Guam, now living in New Mexico.

Miss Colorado a LOT. Definitely missed it more in Maine. Miss the mountains, the clear cool crisp dry air, the sunshine.... But I have to say I'm enjoying Michigan MUCH more than Maine.

MA born and raised. Until age 28, then somewhat nomadic: ME-->RI (1yr)-->ME-->MS (~2mo)-->VA (x3yrs)-->IA. Have become something of an adopted Hawkeye. Shy: I never think of Maine as not having cool crisp air (though it could be a lot cooler for a lot longer than I care for 🙂)

Illinois

and before someone asks....
no i am not a cubs fan
no i am not a sox fan
and HECK no i am not a bears fan

I definitely miss the mountains.... I also miss being able to breathe when I go there and visit lol. I'm so used to living at sea level that when I go back it takes me a couple days to get used to it again. 🙂

Maine- never been there before. Well, I've never been to Michigan either lol. It's good you enjoy Michigan though 🙂

Orygun..
Prior to that: OH, TX, NJ, NY, outside the US.

On a visit to Michigan after so many years in the desert, I couldn't get over how GREEN everything was. Very pretty state.

Originally from Norway, grew up in CA (Bay Area), spent four years of college in LA, then on to Connecticut for a couple years, a short stint back in Norway, five years in Boston, two years north of Chicago, and the last seven years in Colorado, hopefully here to stay.

Born in Calif. and then... TX, KY, OH, OK, Germany, Middle East [Couple of places], SC, VA, MD, DC, GA, & now back in OH... Something's telling me that I am missing a couple of places.😱

Wisconsin by way of most of the rest of the Midwestern states.

I CANNOT believe there are people who think that Michigan is beautiful. The area within a 50 mile radius of Detroit cancels any perceived beauty in the rest of the state. :d (Says the woman who went to school in Flint, worked in Pontiac, and nearly lost my entire car to a sinkhole pothole in Detroit. 😛)

Mizzou-born, then France, Africa and back in the US.
