What schools are big on research??

Hey SDN

I will be applying next cycle and I have 1.5 years under my belt in synthetic organic chemistry research and I am having a great time. I was looking at dmd/phd but you have to be a machine to do that so I was wondering what D schools are big on research?
My stats are
OGPA 3.3
Sci 3.48
BCP 3.51
No DAT taking this summer

I know the University of Florida is pretty big on research. During my interview they asked me about my research experience. They also have a Summer Research Program for accepted dental students.

UPenn is really big on research.

An easy way to guage is just look at the school's NIH research funding ranking. Does the school allot tons of money to research or not?

Some schools like Tufts, Penn, Maryland etc will be evidently into research. Other schools like ASDOH are deceptive. They don't have any research program, but they will ship you off to another dental school for a summer to do it if you'd like.
