I have a 3.18 gpa. B.A. in biology. Messed up my first year and a half. After then my grades went up. My upper level biology gpa is 3.8 including B+ in bio Chem and A+ in orgo 2. I took a total of 10 upper level biology classes. I am an underrepresented minor. I will be applying this up coming cycle and have decent extra curricular activities although no shadowing experience( will start calling dentists soon). What dat score should I be pushing for?

Always be pushing for a 30 lol. But realistically, 21+ on the DAT should do just fine in almost all dental schools.

Assuming you can get your GPA to a 3.25 or a 3.3 by the time you apply, I would aim for a 22+

@Dwade06 push for a 20 and since you are in the URM apply to meharry and howard. You only need a science gpa of about 3.0-3.1 to be compeititve for both of these schools, i know you said your gpa is a 3.18

Always aim for the highest you can. Ideally, schools like to see at least 20 now but usually if you get 22+, schools will be interested in you, especially if the school's average for DAT is around 20.

With your GPA, I recommend a 22+. I would say 21, but your GPA is definitely on the lower side. Regardless, both of these scores are not easy to attain. Good luck. Study hard!
