I graduated college and have already applied for this cycle. I am interested in hearing what people have done during their gap years. Most dental assistant jobs and dental lab tech jobs require certification which is a long process based on what I have read (correct me if I am wrong). I want to find a flexible job with decent pay. Any ideas?

most adcom officers and reps have told me that as long as I continue to show interest even on limited part time basis, your full time job doesn't matter. I am also an applicant this cycle, I had a full time job in the beverage industry (but will be starting a dental sales rep job soon) and i volunteered as a dental assistant at a non profit clinic. even if you do it once a month, it still shows you are actively still engaged.
