Hi everyone,

I am in quite a dilemma right now. I was scheduled to retake my DAT for August 13, but my grandma just passed away in London. We booked a flight this morning for Monday and I wont be back until the end of August, right before my masters classes start. I need to cancel my exam, but I already let all the schools know I am retaking it. I know i have to let them know, but what will their reaction be? My have a TS of 18 and AA of 18 as well. I have a 3.29 gpa and I will be starting a masters degree soon to improve my gpa. I know I really do not have a choice, but will it jeopordize my chances of getting in?

anyone...plz...

does that mean ur gona just not retake it at all, what about taking it after u come back? If not ur stats are alil bit below average, i think it depends on what schools u applied to as well. Will it jeopardize ur chances of getting in? i would think so this year for the good schools but u still might get in to the not so prestigious ones.

in my honest opinion, you should definately retake your DAT as soon as you can once you come back.

i'm pretty sure if you contact ADCOM early enough and let them know about the situation, they can look at your files assuming that you'll be retaking it after you come back from london.

avg. accepted GPA is around 3.5 +/- and DAT is around 19 +/-, so considering that both of your stats are below average, you definately should retake your DAT and explain this situation if you get interview invites

good luck!
