So I talked to one of my professors a few times about LORs and he said he can write me one. He told me to email him so we can set up an appointment since he was busy at the moment. So I emailed him once and he never responded so I emailed him again and still no response. What should I do?? I don't know if I should go to his office to ask him again because I don't want to seem like a pest. I did tell him I won't need it until the end of May. Could that be why he's not responding?

A lot of professors are simply too busy and overwhelmed with emails to give you a swift reply (or even reading your email for that matter). You should be proactive in trying to get your LOR. That means, going to his office face to face and ask him for the LOR. So long as you're polite when you go in, I think everything should be fine. All professors should know the importance of these LOR and won't think of you as a pest.

Go to his office and talk to him.

How long has it been since you emailed him? If it's been more than a week or so, I'd stop by his office. Somehow that seems less annoying than emailing again. It would only take a second to say "Hey, let's make an appointment to talk about this later."

thanks for all your replies. I might head to his office sometime next week.

another option is calling his secretary, perhaps

I don't think he has a secretary. I just don't want it to look negative because I keep on asking him for it.
