I'm actually sitting at my desk at the lovely Amgen Inc. in the beautiful Thousand Oaks, CA on my last day doing nothing but watching you guys with anticipation and glee.

I think I'm supposed to be doing something productive, but that's not going to fly. What should YOU guys be doing?

Haha... i was just thinking about this. I have about 8 different things i have left til the last minute... 4 papers, 2 tests, 2 powerpoints  All due next week too and i'm still not doing anything. But it's business school... it's a joke, it's definitely not like science classes.

SHOULD be doing an article analysis for my medical data anaylsis class, writing my 10-15 pager on cellular aging, or preparing my presentation on neuroimaging...but instead i'm cleaning my apt and doing laundry and sitting on the computer and cooking dinner and....you get the idea😎

Still surprisingly rich but the mood amongst employees is pretty slummy. Parking lot is getting emptier and emptier by the day.

Although on the plus side anybody with experience here usually finds a comparable job elsewhere pretty quickly so don't feel too bad! 🙂

I should be baking cupcakes for a Dental Clinic Christmas party tomorrow evening.... Actually am freaking out about school and probably watching Scrubs at 9.

Interestingly enough, (to the person who started this thread), I work for a company doing elemental analysis on samples from academia and pharm. companies. I know that we get stuff from Amgen all the time. Maybe I've seen your work.

Jigabodo, I work at Target, its le suck, but they're hiring. Nothing like $7.18 an hour with a college degree.......

I should be doing a physics lab report.

But I can't even think because two of the schools I interviewed at made offers today, and I didn't hear from either of them. :scared:

I should be doing a UCC lien summary. I'm already in and know where I'm going next year but here I am sitting in my downtown LA office constantly checking SDN.

I SHOULD be studying for my Bacterial/Viral Pathogens exam on monday, but like all other eager predents on Nov 29, I cannot focus and am thus hunched over on SDN and Facebook. And, i'm eagerly awaiting my soap opera which starts in an hour....man, and i USED to be such a good student...

wow, i thought i was the only one. i'm supposed to be in anatomy lab but i left in the middle of it. i feel like a total flake for doing it but i was just standing around daydreaming about uop.

I should finish my final biochem lab report, and study for 4 finals, but I'm so nervous and can't concentrate on what I'm doing now. God! I hope I can get in......😕

I'm studying for a Micro final that I've got next week. But like all the other crazies, I find myself looking on SDN way too much. I've got a question: Does AADSAS update at 12am? Is it going to be a feeding frenzy/server overload?

I should study for my biochem exam next week, but nope, I check this forum every 5 minutes 🙂 and checking on you guys,,who got accepted, which schools, worried about those who didn't hear anything yet from their schools...
haha, and I'm not even part of this year cycle, i'm applying next year...🙄

I should be doing a paper, studying for 3 finals, laundry, cleaning, dishes, etc. But I am on here and watching TV. I just have no motivation anymore.

i did something productive! i washed clothes so i have something to wear to work tomorrow... too bad i don't have access to the internet at work :meanie:

The problem with that, though, is that biotech laborers tend to need to relocate to find a new job, and that's the hitch. Especially with the real estate market right now, a lot of my friends are faced with serious losses if relocation requires them to move to another city. The severance packages don't come close to compensating for the differences.

Well I was planning on wasting an hour watching Grey's Anatomy... but it's a rerun! 😡 😡 😡 I guess I may actually do some work... 🙄

speaking of sleeping..does anyone know when AADSAS will make the status section unhidden? Midnight maybe? Early in the morning?
