If someone doesn't get in this year, what options do they have to strengthen their application for the following year? Say MCAT is high (30ish), and GPA is a little below average (3.0ish). Any one know of any good 1-year programs affliated with schools that increase the chances of getting into that school? I've heard of such programs at Nova and LECOM as well, but don't know of anything official....

Thanks as always...

I have been looking in to the 1 year programs and have found a 12 month masters in medical science at the University of Boston. It has about a 90% success rate of getting people in to MD or DO schools. That doesn't in clude those that went on to OD, DDS, Ph.D, or DPM.

I'm duing research at Des Moines University and the guy I'm doing with also interviews applicants. The other day he interviewed a girl that attend a one-year maters in medical physiology from George Town in washington. He said it was also a good program.
