I need some advice. I got a 15 on my PAT and 19AA. Now some school allow you to simply fax over the score report and they will act on those score before they get your offical copy from the ADA.

Now when they get the official copy they only see numbers and not percentiles. But if I fax them over the report they will see the percentiles. Thing is a 15 is like 25th percentile and I really would not want them to see that. I think its better for them to just see the 15 and decide if its above their cutoff etc without knowing the percentiles.
This means though that it will take longer for them to recieve the scores versus faxing it over. What do you guys think?

on the printout i got it only had the numbers i scored. so thats rather weird

If time is a pressing issue than fax it, but dont worry about the percentiles. I'm surprised that a school would accept scores faxed to them by an applicant. I say make up your own score report, add five points to your PAT, and fax that to them, you'll be money.

Schools already probably have a good idea of where a 15 stacks up. Probably wont matter if they see the % or not.

Photocopy your scores, covering or whiting out the parts you don't want faxed and fax the altered but still factually accurate copy.

U can either covers up the percentile, or wait for the official copy.

i would just wait for the to get the score report... it's not like it is going to take that much longer than it would for you to just mail a copy out now

thing is I wouldn't mail it out I would fax it over. Do you guys think its legal if I cover up the percentiles? Isnt that light altering an official document?

You're risking it by editing your score sheet. If the standard score sheet shows the percentiles and yours doesn't, that may seem a bit odd (although it sounds like some people's didn't have the percentiles). And if you do a sloppy job and the numbers peak through a bit in the fax (you could try photocopying first), then you will really have something to answer for.

Either way, a 15 is a 15. You can put sugar on a turd, but it still tastes like a turd.

SEND THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENT ---- the last thing you want is a red flag attached to your name/application BEFORE you have even been reviewed for an interview. i SERIOUSLY doubt they are going to even look at the percentiles since they vary so much based on what version of the test you took and when you took it.
