for those who took the pcat, do the questions and the answer choices in the reading section resemble the Sat/GRE questions or the MCAT questions. I mean what type of questions and answers do the pcat's reading section ask. Are the questions like the SAT where basically the question will ask you explain why the author mention something and the choices are either never mentioned by the author, contradict what author is saying, mentioned but is not the answer to that specific question, or paraphrasing the authors main point. Or is it like the MCAT, where the questions vary alot, some will ask which is the best paragraph to be added, does a certain sentence strengthen or weaken the author's point, which statement is inconsistent with a certain assertion by the author, which is an argument for a certain statement, etc. And the answer choices are very close to each other and the right answer isn't a paraphrase of what the author is saying but is an implication based on the tone and attitude the author present in the passage. I apologize for the length 😱 but I'm trying to clarify my question.
thanks

It's a mixture of SAT and MCAT-like questions. The PCAT doesn't ask as many direct "what if/what works best" questions but it's not like you can locate every answer in a couple of sentences of the passage like the SAT. In terms of difficulty, I think the difficulty is closer to the MCAT than it is on the SAT.

Overall, I think the section is closer to the MCAT but it isn't nearly as difficult. Case in point, my highest reading score on the MCAT was a 9 (average to mediocre). My reading score on the PCAT was 94.😀
