What will you be if there you cannot become a doctor?

I'd become a physician.

:D

Marine Corps.

Serving the country is the most honorable thing a man can do.

So I'm a little late I know but....I'm bored! I'd be an engineer...I love that stuff!

Edit: I read the post wrong, I'm not really late, but I really am bored!

Me too. America is dying for motivated math/science teachers. And for the record, although it is possible, you would have to be an idiot to expect to make 60-70 grand a year doing it.

I have a friend who is graduating undergrad this year who is a BRILLIANT math teacher. She's extremely smart and teaching math is her passion. She's good at it too. My parents think it's a waste of her talents haha but I disagree. If I could have my future kids taught my someone like her, I would love it.

As for me, I'd be a Genetic Counselor. Either that or look into, PT, NP, or PA. :)

work for a surfing company, using my biomedical degree some how
psychology masters or PhD program possibly

If I couldn't be a doctor because I wasn't smart enough or lazy I'd be a trophy wife

seriously though P.A or wedding planner...

Haha. I remember my mom asking me when I was six what I wanted to be. my response was "Trophy wife". Rich and kinda influential depending on who you're married to. I had to lower my aspirations and settle for Doctor as I got older ;)

I'd probably try my hand at writing middle grade fiction novels for a while. Get an agent, publish in magazines, etc until I got my big break! Maybe venture into young adult fiction as well. If I really wanted to go all out, I'd get a pseudonym and write erotica!

If that didn't work, I'd probably be a sex therapist.

PhD in organic or physical chemistry

I'd love to write a novel but I don't have the attention span to get past the first chapter

lol! If I'd been smarter I'd have been a trophy wife in the first place.

she woolf, your font is virtually unreadable in that color. Please darken it up!

If it were still in the medical/healthcare field, then either a nurse-midwife or a genetic counselor. Or possibly get a masters then PhD and work in a fertility lab.

If I had to choose something completely unrelated to medicine and healthcare, then either something to do with video games (probably program, I don't think I've got the skill to design in any way), or something in real estate.

Can men be nurse-midwives?

Can I change mine to professional supermarket cart collector? That would get me all the babes. :hungover:

At this point I really don't think I would be satisfied doing anything else. Maybe a pharmacist...

International relations, like for the UN or something.

I'd figure out why I couldn't be one and fix the situation, because I am simply not giving up until I get what I want.

CRNA. Not near as cool as MD but I get to stay in healthcare, the money is great, and the hours can be pretty awesome depending on where you work and type of contract you have.

This isn't an interview...

Me. If I can't get in, I'm going to go to the navy/air force and become a pilot. Then after 20 years of that, become a pilot for an Air Ambulance. I've met a few of the guys that do it for our local Trauma 1, and those guys seem to really love their life.

cure cancer, and maybe Alzheimer's too while im at it.
besides that I think i would like to be a paramedic and film maker.

Is that the answer you're supposed to give at an interview? I would assume the reason for that question is to get an idea of your other interests, not to prove your unwavering determination to become a doctor.

I didn't know about that prior to my first interview. I answered exactly what I wrote earlier in this thread, "Marine Corps ... honorable."

The interviewer looked at me like he had just found out I was Batman.

I would be a 3D animation artist, and strive to work on movies like avatar in my future. That stuff is so cool. i took some animation classes in college and i have never been more obessed with a class in my life. If I wasn't so invested in medicine, I would have switched majors.

Ha! Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Is that the kind of answer you think he wanted?

Wildlife biologist or fly fishing guide in Oregon, Idaho, or Montana. However, this is hypothetical for me, since I am coming down the home stretch on my third year of med school.

Wont you have to go through nursing school first?
yeah, I talked to my councelor and there is a N.P. Program at Rush that I can take with by Bachelors in Health Science.

I am a High School teacher right now (and in my state, many teachers make in the 70s. We start at 40). But I'm not sure I would want to do this forever.

I think I would open my own bakery and get HUGELY fat... j/k about the fat part... maybe

I'd be an AA (anesthesiologist assistant, not an anoonymous alcoholic) or a professional golf caddy

PhD in biochemistry, and then onto running an academic lab studying protein structure and/or folding.
This but research in genomics or proteomics.

PhD in genetic medicine for genomics.

Health admin is appealing as well, not as much as research though.

I think I would open my own bakery

This too but more of a proper coffee shop/cafe since I'm a bit of a coffee connoisseur.

clinical psychologist > high school chem/psych teacher > social worker

I would be a mechanical engineer. Im curious, is it considered harder than other engineering majors?

I would become an Engineer :D [biomedical, of course!]

Porn star. i am asian tho, may be ill go to japan.

Get a Ph.D, teach Bio at a Uni or CC.
