I'm chillin' right now, but I have that inkling too that I should be prepping. I'm gonna take the advice of first year students though......... basically the ones I've spoken to say just to come to school in the fall well rested cuz there's not much you can really do to prep yourself adequately for the wall of work we'll be hit with anyway.

Margaret :D

After this semester, I am giving school work a break! I plan on working and traveling

I have friends who are taking all the upper division bios that they can cram in just to "be prepared." Me? Hell, I'm traveling, partying, and in general trying to forget all the stress that I was put through the last 3 1/2 yrs. This is my much-needed break after 3 summer of summer school plus all the rejection/acceptance crap we all dealt with. I doubt there's much you can do at this point...definitely taking Biochem would help...too late for me...

finishing my "BS" degree :p

Drop my full-time status at my current post-bac/graduate program to half-time status! Must relax, socialize, and more relaxing!

counting down days til orientation...
assisting, working on research proposals, and relaxing :)

Yeah, I'm still debating about what to do for my remaining 5 months in Chi-town...but I definitely want 1 last "fun" job before hell starts:

Work at:
1)Banana Republic (I need lot of clothes)
2)Best Buy (I could use a DVD)
3)Work as a beer vendor at Wrigley Field

I'm leaning towards #3. Any thoughts?

Pi-Guy
definately number 1

hahaha...thanks, Star

...and I'll add you to the list of all my female friends that are trying to push me to choose #1.

Obviously, my buddies are pushing for the other 2.

pi guy,
DEFINITELY #1!!!! do friends get a discount?!?!?

yeah, do friends get discounts?! :p :) :p

If I do go Banana, I suppose I could swing a 1% discount to you guys... <img border="0" alt="[Laughy]" title="" src="graemlins/laughy.gif" />

At this point, a 1% discount will come in handy, considering I need a whole summer wardrobe for Cali!

and I for the east!

I can't wait to be accepted and trying to meet my classmate :( *sigh*

Seema,

Your time WILL come, I promise!! You score 20s on that DAT thing, you WILL be accepted, I GUARANTEE!!! I felt your feelings for 3 fuc@ing years!!! I see all my friends that I've been taking classes with during my undergraduate studies getting accepted to dental schools one by one and there I was, STILL taking classes in attempt to increase my academic credentials so it's presentable!!

I know those feelings suck, but use that energy to drive your motivation to succeed! That's what I did! Use it to study the DAT and get them grades. I know you will succeed! Aim for them 20s!!!!

Pi, yea i agree with the other girls, go for banana republic ^_^ I was thinking of working there too. I'm graduating a quarter early, so I just wanna relax and do something fun and brainless for awhile!

I intend to pay off all the debt that I incurred while applying to Dental school. In addition I am looking for a house to buy in Richmond, Virginia. As far as prep work? I am looking though a few anatomy books, but mostly I am reading allot of fiction, I consider it prepping for all the time that I can't read what I want.

i plan to continue working through july...and then take a HUGE vacation...chill...veg....get some r&r as i wait for orientation... :D
